Instructional Technology
The mission of Instructional Technology is to support and foster the use and integration of educational technologies to advance the educational mission of the College. Instructional Technology serves faculty, students, administration and staff by providing support, instruction, access to new and emerging technologies, promote professional development, and provide assessment.
The Multimedia Instructional Technologists accomplish this in the following ways:
- Offers equitable access to use of technologies available on campus and/or through the web
- Promotes effective use of technology in any learning environment through collaboration with faculty
- Instructs in the integration of technology in academic programs through sound pedagogical practice to enhance students' academic success
- Provides consultations for design of instructional strategies, utilizing instructional technology in teaching and learning
- Designs professional development workshops for faculty, administration, and staff
- Researches emerging trends and technologies
- Assesses through surveys to provide feedback from faculty, students, staff, and administration
- Presents, attends and networks with colleagues at conferences and workshops
- Serves on committees of professional organizations
