Breakaway Student Productions Hosts Annual One-Act Festival

Every year, the club Breakaway Student Productions puts on a series of one-act plays, written, directed, and acted entirely by students. This showcase alternates each semester with a full-length production, also created by students.

For the first time in recent memory, the theater group hosted their show in the Berman Amphitheater, with audience members sitting on the hill outside the Berman Museum terrace.

“This year’s one acts really focused on acceptance,” said Breakaway Productions vice president, Ali Wolf ’23. “Whether it be self-acceptance or accepting another for who they are, in today’s social climate, showcasing love and acceptance is so important.”
