We have increasingly encouraged our students to travel abroad, given that returning students consistently report that these journeys are “truly transformative.”  Such experiences are valuable in providing students an opportunity to reexamine their assumptions about the world and about themselves, and they return with sophistication that often aids them in making clearer decisions about their futures.
