PDFs, PowerPoint files, and other downloadable files can be stored and organized under Files in the toolbox.
Go to Toolbox
Click on Files
Option 1: Click and drag files from your folder on your desktop to the green Quick Upload box.
Option 2: click on the blue button that reads +Add a new file
To link text to a form:
Go to the Page that you want to add the link and then click Edit Page button on top left.
Highlight the text that you want to link and click the chain link icon on the editor toolbar
Click on drop down menu and select the last option: link to one of your files.
Click Choose a file…
Locate file (you may need to search on name) and select Insert this file.
To hide a page from being found in the website search or through Google search, etc (but NOT permanently delete it):
Go to the Dashboard and click on Pages and locate the page you want to hide
Directly to the right of the name of that page are 4 options. Click on the Show or Hide button (whichever is appearing). If Show appear, click on show and then click hide. You will get a pop up box, select Hide Page from Website and then save these changes.
The photo that is shown the events and news widget is almost a perfect square. Keep that in mind when adding a photo. The photo will focus on what is in the center. Uploaded photos can be a traditional landscape or vertical photo at traditional 4:3 ratio OR a square.
A larger, original photo is typically the best choice, (barring that the photo is not 4000+ pixels wide) <2000 pixels is a good choice.
A full photograph at 4:3 is almost always fine, just note that the image will focus on the middle 2/3. Square photos will work too.
Avoid over cropping and uploading a long, narrow, cropped image or tall skinny image.
Make sure there is headroom when taking a photograph. The image editor will look for the center.
Avoid adding overlaid text to an image accompanying an event or story. Stick with a simple photograph or simple graphic…. AVOID uploading a flyer or tv monitor slide.
If you are uploading a simple logo, look for a logo variation that is stacked rather than long. Often companies create 2 versions of logos. See example:

The Search box on the header of the Ursinus website will offer suggestions. These suggestions can be manually entered by Erin Hovey on the backend as Quick Access Links.
