The Math & CS Department Celebrates Pi Day

The Math and Computer Science department celebrated Pi Day with pizza pie, dessert pie, and proofs!

Pi Day 2016 was celebrated by students and faculty of the Math and Computer Science department. Nick Scoville presented 3 mathematical proofs. The first being the Basel Problem at n=2. The second proof was the proof of Euler’s Identity. Nick’s presentation ended with a proof and analysis of Buffon’s Needle Problem. Meanwhile, students enjoyed pizza, pie, and door prizes. We love pie day!!
