Ursinus Donates Personal Protective Equipment to Temple University Hospital to Help in COVID-19 Pandemic

Labs are temporarily quiet at Ursinus College as students and faculty work remotely to finish out the spring semester.

The Biology Department gathered eight cases of gloves that would otherwise be used in teaching and research labs. Professor Beth Bailey (Biology) said “Since we’re not doing research or teaching labs, we thought our extra gloves could be put to better use.” She handed the gloves off to Dr. Steven Houser of Temple University School of Medicine, who was able to bring them to the hospital, located in Philadelphia, to support their medical staff. The Art and Art History department is also collecting extra masks and gloves to donate.
