Ursinus College Dance Presents Fall UCDC Concert

Performances are in the Lenfest Theater in the Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Center on the Ursinus College campus on Thursday, November 18 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, November 19 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, November 20 at 7:30 p.m.

The Ursinus College Dance Company returns to the Lenfest featuring new works by dance faculty, guest artists, and students. The performance will highlight the eclectic genres and styles that distinguish Ursinus dance.

The performance is also part of the “Dinner and a Show” program sponsored by the Collegeville Economic Development Corporation.

The show, produced by Karen Clemente, professor of dance, includes new modern dance works by Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance Dana Powers-Klooster; Back to You, co-choreographed with guest choreographer Jessica Anthony; and Walk Me Through, in collaboration with student dancers.

Other original works include a dance theater piece by Clyde Evans, Jr., Welcome to America, about his experience as a child immigrant from Trinidad; and a tap piece, It’s Only A Matter of Time, choreographed by Jenn Rose, which looks at the inevitable passage of time in every person’s life.

Rounding out the program is the dance, We Care, by student choreographers, Elizabeth Kandler, Raeann Risko, Chelsea Stitt, and Kalina Witkowska, that focuses on social justice issues.

The Ursinus College Dance Company performance celebrates the rich fabric of dance at the college and is suitable for all ages. Join us as we usher out 2021—we’re still here and we’re making art that inspires.

Tickets are $8 for the general public and $5 for seniors and students. Tickets can be purchased online at ursinus.edu/tickets and they will be available at the box office before the show. For inquiries, please contact boxoffice@ursinus.edu or (610) 409-3030.
