New Course: Latin America in Film

A new course titled Latin America in Film (LAS 332) will be offered in Fall 2015. 

A new course will be offered in Fall 2015 focusing on contemporary Latin American film. Latin America in Film (LAS 332) will explore how contemporary Latin American filmmakers have represented and interpreted major historical, political, and aesthetic issues. The questions depicted in the selected films include (neo)colonialism, human rights, gender/race/class struggles, youth and sexuality. This course is taught in English and fulfills the “G” requirement. Please contact Prof. Teresa Ko for further information on the course.
