Missy Bryant

The Vice-President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students is the senior member of Student Affairs who works to improve student success and retention through oversight of wellness, residence life, the Institute for Student Success, the Institute for Inclusion and Equity, campus safety, student engagement, religious and spiritual life, Title IX, community standards and values, and crisis response.   

Background

Dean Bryant returned to her native Pennsylvania in August 2010 when she joined the Ursinus community. She has worked in Student Affairs at the University of Alabama, LeMoyne College and most recently, Southern Methodist University where she served as the Director of New Student Orientation and Student Support. At Ursinus she previously served as the Director of First-Year Programs, Director of the Center for Academic Support, and Assistant Dean of Students and Co-Director of the Institute for Student Success.

A Crimson Tide fan, Dean Bryant LOVES Alabama football, spending time with her family and friends, and running with her dog, Bear. She, along with her husband and son, enjoy living close to campus and taking advantage of all Ursinus has to offer.  

Dean Bryant says “Working at Ursinus is like being part of a family. It is exciting to see us growing together and constantly changing.”
