Dana Powers-Klooster

Dana Powers-Klooster is a performer, choreographer, and educator. Since moving to the Philadelphia area in 2016, she has had her choreography presented at the InHale Performance Series, the ETC Performance Series, the Koresh Artist Showcase, the Come Together Dance Festival, Eastern University, Ursinus College, Stockton University, and Bryn Mawr College. Dana received her MFA in Dance from the University of Iowa in 2014, where she was honored to be the recipient of the Iowa Arts Fellowship, and her BA in Dance and Spanish Area Studies from Kenyon College in 2006, cum laude. From 2007-2011, she worked as a freelance performer in New York City, performing works by Stephanie Liapis, Lindsey Dietz Marchant, Oliver Steele, Jennifer Kain, Elizabeth Wilkinson, and Deb Silver. Dana has been on faculty at the University of Iowa, Stockton University, and Bryn Mawr College and is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance at Ursinus College.
