Data Analytics Coordinator

Overview
This position provides career and post-graduate related data analysis and reporting to the Ursinus community, and database and technical support for the CPD office. Key responsibilities include survey creation, data collection and protocols, data analysis, website management, and departmental systems data administration and support. This position also serves a key role in the operation of the Ursinus College Internship Program.
Responsibilities
Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting
- Organize, research, and monitor the collection of outcomes data for graduates from senior year to 12 months post-graduation
- Develop internal and externally published data-driven analysis of Ursinus students and alumni for the college, national professional associations, and higher education media reporting outlets
- Conduct data-driven analysis, including comparisons to regional and national statistics, and produce reports for department key performance indicators
- Author, design, and deliver annual reports related to departmental programming including externships and career fairs
- Analyze internship data to produce comprehensive and department specific weekly, semesterly, and annual reports
- Provide CPD, college, and academic departments with ad-hoc reports as requested
- Write and modify Colleague reports
- Design, develop, and synthesize Qualtrics surveys for departmental projects
Systems Data Administrator/ Database Design
- Analyze database requirements and processes to develop, modify, and maintain policies and procedures for efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain, edit, and create new data tables and fields to ensure information is relevant, accurate, and available for staff program management and reporting
- Ensure databases contain timely and accurate information through routine formatting and data transfers
- Act as liaison between CPD and the Information Technology office to provide systems changes and recommendations
- Provide departmental support for software applications and platforms, serve as the department administrator for external technology including Handshake, Focus, and CareerSpots, and act as a liaison with vendor technology support teams for questions, improvements, and enhancements
- Assist with planning, organizing, and supporting annual career fair and other department events, including technical support
- Remain knowledgeable regarding new and emerging technology and provide recommendations based on departmental goals and needs
Internship Process Management
- Provide direction and oversee process and procedures for the credit-bearing internship program including shaping the online internship learning agreement process to be a companion to the Ursinus Quest
- Troubleshoot online internship independent learning agreement methodology and collaborate with faculty and Information Technology office to ensure an efficient user experience. Resolve related database and form issues
- Monitor student status and produce reports and recommendations to department staff to ensure compliance
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide direction on departmental website design
- Maintain and update departmental website and platform and manage annual content audit and review process
- On-call immediate support for all data-related issues
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in data analytics, data science, or related field
- Minimum of three years related experience
- Experience with database design and management, data analysis, and technical report writing
- Extensive experience with Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Qualtrics, and Handshake; highly competent and comfortable working in content management systems (CMS) web page management; experience with html; SQL, Colleague and report writing a plus
- Detail oriented individual with high level customer service skills and demonstrated ability to be flexible; excellent organizational and written communication skills
- Experience in non-profit organizations or educational institutions, preferably higher education
