Impact of Ursinus

I am currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Biotechnology at Georgetown University Medical Center. I am on the BioBusiness track and am currently interning at a clinical research organization focusing on consultative business development. I will graduate in May 2022 and plan to pursue a job in business development in the biotech/pharma industry. My degree in Health & Exercise Physiology coupled with my research experiences in the HaMM lab greatly prepared me to succeed at Georgetown and in my future career. The material presented in HEP classes and my hands-on research experiences helped me to build the science foundation needed to launch into the biotechnology field. The professors in the HEP department not only went above and beyond in the classroom but also in helping me to pursue a career in this booming field. Dr. Kolwicz, Dr. Ivaska, and Dr. Carpenter were amazing mentors and all played a large role in helping me get to where I am today. Their guidance and knowledge was invaluable and I am very grateful for my experiences with them and my time in the Ursinus College HEP Department.
