Overview

The Human Resources (HR) Assistant will perform general administrative tasks and services to support the Human Resources department. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with salary administration, benefits and leaves as well as internal and external HR requests and special projects

Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine tasks required to administer human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leaves
  • Conducts audits of various payroll, benefits, and other HR programs
  • Assists with maintaining personnel files and HRIS records in accordance with internal policies and best practices
  • Conducts necessary research and provides administrative support for special projects
  • Assists with updating and maintaining job descriptions as needed
  • Provide prompt response and follow-through regarding questions, concerns, and issues in an accurate and confidential manner
  • Conveys relevant employee issues and concerns to leadership for resolution
  • Maintains knowledge and compliance with departmental policies
  • Support the daily operations of the HR team
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree highly preferred or equivalent of education and general human resources knowledge and experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources or Administration
  • Must have excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and HR information systems
  • Proficient user of ADP HR system
  • Must be detail oriented, have ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environment
  • Must have ability to maintain confidential information
  • Must have ability to work independently
  • Must have strong communications skills
  • Must be a strong team player
