Bear Beginnings: New Student Days
Bear Beginnings are spring in-person advising and welcoming experiences to help each student prepare for their transition to the Ursinus community in the fall. All incoming first-year students are strongly encouraged to attend this event on either Tuesday, May 23 or Wednesday, May 24.
We look forward to seeing our newest bears on campus this May!
- Meet with your first-year adviser, discuss your academic interests, and plan out courses for the fall
- Learn more about our “Quest: Open Questions Open Minds” curriculum and the Common Intellectual Experience (CIE)
- Meet representatives from different offices across campus who will support you through your transition to college
- You will receive a personalized schedule prior to arriving on your selected Bear Beginnings date. A sample schedule will be posted here in April.
Who Should Attend?
All students enrolling at Ursinus for the first time in the fall of 2023 (Class of 2027 and transfer students) should attend. NOTE: transfer students will have an abbreviated day due to advising cohort group meetings that they will not attend. More to come on that!
Parents and family members are welcome, but not required to attend.
How Do I Register?
Students will only be able to register after they have paid their new student enrollment deposit by going to the Student Portal
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s important to register as soon as possible. An email confirmation will be sent to the student′s email address with their assigned registration date, followed by a personalized schedule for the day.
