Microsoft Office* - Available on computers on the first floor of the Myrin Library with full installation on personal devices available free of charge via web install. Instructions for installation of MS-Office.
*Microsoft Office is provided free of charge as part of our campus agreement. So, regardless of the computer you purchase, or where you purchase, you do not need to purchase this additional software resulting in significant cost savings.
Office 365 provides access to a variety of Microsoft applications in addition to the standard Microsoft Office products.
Most of the Office 365 applications can be downloaded to your device or accessed online.

Microsoft Teams - Meet, chat, call, and collaborate in just one place.
Adobe Creative Cloud - Available on Mac computers in Ritter Mac Classroom, and on Mac Computers on the first floor of Myrin Library.
Maple - Available on Dell computers on first floor of the Myrin Library and available for installation on personal computers used on campus.
Mathematica (Click for more info) - Available on Dell computers on first floor of the Myrin Library and available for install on personal computers of Ursinus Students, Faculty and Staff.
SAS - Available on Dell computers on first floor of the Myrin Library and for install on personal computers of Ursinus Students, Faculty and Staff. (Windows only, will not work on Macintosh operating system).
SPSS - Available on Dell computers on first floor of the Myrin Library and on Ursinus owned computers.

|Chrome||Free web-browser that is similar in features to Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari.|
|DaVinci Resolve||DaVinci Resolve is the world’s only solution that combines editing, color correction, visual effects, motion graphics and audio post production all in one software tool. Possible substitute for Adobe Premiere Pro.|
|Figma||Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool which is primarily web-based, with additional offline features enabled by desktop applications for macOS and Windows. Possible substitute for Adobe XD.|
|Filezilla||An open-source (free) file transfer application that supports FTP, FTP over SSL/TLS (FTPS), and SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) connections.|
The GNU Image Manipulation Program is an open source freeware program that has many of the features that are available in the commercial Adobe Photoshop application.
|Inkscape||A feature-packed editor that’s a possible substitute for Adobe Illustrator.|
|Infrarecorder||Open source (free) software used to write to CDs and DVDs.|
|IrfanView||An excellent freeware image viewing program.|

In addition to being free the installer for this suite is also about a third the size of Microsoft Office.|

SageMath is a free open-source mathematics software system licensed under the GPL. It builds on top of many existing open-source packages: NumPy, SciPy, matplotlib, Sympy, Maxima, GAP, FLINT, R and many more. Access their combined power through a common, Python-based language or directly via interfaces or wrappers.
