U.S. Department of State Grant Fortifies Study Abroad Program

Ursinus is one of 34 colleges and universities in 28 states to be awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of State’s Increase and Diversify Education Abroad for U.S. Students (IDEAS) Program, which aims to develop and expand study abroad programs around the world.

We asked recent graduates to share their favorite photos from their study abroad experience. 

What We Do

Study abroad returnees will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • personal growth
  • intercultural sensitivity
  • ability to place academic learning in an international and global context
  • intercultural communication skills and/or foreign language competency
  • capacity for reflection
  • civic engagement or social responsibility
  • emerging postgraduate or professional goals
