Federal Work Study

The Federal Work Study (FWS) Program provides funding for part-time employment for students.  Students are able to seek part-time employment on campus in order to earn the dollars that are a part of the financial aid package.  Most students work an average of 8 to 10 hours per week, and the pay is minimum wage or greater.  Students are paid bi-weekly. The FWS award MAY NOT be deducted from the student bill.

Federal Work Study jobs are not guaranteed; however, students with FWS in their financial aid package will be given priority when seeking employment. If a student is not able to secure a job at the beginning of the academic year he or she is encouraged to check back often because campus jobs become available regularly throughout the year.

Please note that no student working on campus is permitted to work during scheduled classroom time.
